Job Highlights

AIR6500 will provide a Joint Air Battle Management System capability for the Royal Australian Air Force. The system will provide multi-domain integration of air, electromagnetic, and missile defence battle management including deployable & fixed operations centres, communications, and both active & passive sensors.
The Communications Systems Integration & Test Engineer will lead successful execution of the AIR6500 Communications Integrated Product Teams (IPT) integration with the broader AIR6500 system, as well as supporting Communications Subsystem Verification & Validation (V&V) activities. This includes performing hardware, software and systems integration of the Communications Subsystem, conducting defect analysis, and conducting and supporting informal and formal V&V for the program.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead installation, integration, configuration and test of Communications hardware, software and systems at IPT level
Identify, Analyse and resolve defects and technical issues in accordance with the Defect Management Process
Prepare required artefacts (plans and procedures) and activities required for integration of the Communications Subsystem with the Mission System
Lead Communications Subsystem V&V activities

About you:

Extensive experienced in the integration of complex Defence Communication Systems (hardware and software)
Solid knowledge of Defence Test & Evaluation

Any of the below would be highly regarded, but not essential:

Good understanding and management of Government Furnished Equipment/Data/Information (GFx)
Experienced in the integration of complex Communications systems (including hardware and software)
Working knowledge of safety management, configuration management and quality assurance in an Integration and Test environment both physical and virtual
Working knowledge of defence Verification and Validation process for ASDEFCON

Special Requirements:
