Key competencies (role specific criteria)You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

Experience in or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in pre-analytical processes, example loading samples onto analysers, aliquoting, storage, retrieval of specimens, performing blood gases etc.- Skills or the ability to acquire skills in basic laboratory processes and equipment maintenance.- Ability to effectively use or learn to use the Laboratory Information System. Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills and patient data entry.- Proven ability to solve problems and show initiative in the workplace.- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a highly process driven environment with competingpriorities.- Proven ability to follow instructions and work in a conscientious and accurate manner with a minimum of supervision- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and Scientific / Technical staff orally and in writing, including the ability to follow detailed operational instructions.- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.- Strong attention to detail, ability to focus in a busy, complex environment.
