Chef Position at Aromas of India - Full Time (38 Hours/Week)
Location: Aromas of India, Nerang, QLD
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum
Shifts: Rotating Monday to Sunday

Qualifications & Experience:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
Job Duties:
Plan and design exciting menus while estimating food and labor costs.
Oversee the ordering of food supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Monitor dish quality at every stage, from preparation to presentation.
Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen staff to discuss food preparation and address any issues.
Demonstrate expert cooking techniques and provide advice on preparation procedures.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and cooked to perfection.
Enforce strict hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Train and mentor kitchen staff as needed.
Handle food preservation and freezing where applicable.
Required Skills:
Proficient in menu planning and food costing.
Strong ability to monitor and maintain quality standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and management.
Expertise in cooking techniques and food preparation.
Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations.
Experience in staff training and management.
Ability to handle food preservation and storage effectively.
