About the role
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a strong ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high standards.
In this role, you will support a range of frontline teams in actively supervising pools, patrons and programs within Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) and Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool (CMSP).
You will report to the Centre Supervisor Team Leader and perform a range of duties including but not limited to:
- To provide leadership, supervision, advice and guidance to all staff on shift with the flexibility to cover shift breaks as required.
- Responsible for ensuring Service Improvement Program standards are maintained on shift across the facility.
- In the event of an emergency act as the Chief Warden and coordinate facilities emergency management plan to facilitate a safe exit of patrons, staff and contractors.
- Monitor on shift staffing levels across the facility and adjust, in conjunction with the relevant shift supervisor, according to facility demand and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support all frontline teams on shift assisting directly as required during busy times.
- Conduct plant management tasks including water testing and dosing as required.
- Be responsible for the management for cash and reconciliation duties.

- Demonstrated commitment and adherence to organisational values and behaviours.
- Considerable customer service experience.
- Strong dispute resolution experience.
- Familiarity with the recreation industry programs and services would be well regarded.
- Previous experience in managing a complex roster and staff team is highly desirable.
- Current CPR, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or willing to obtain).
- Current Pool Operators Certificate (or willing to obtain)

- Employee Working with Children Check
- New National Police Record Check
- Health Declaration
- Evidence of right to work in Australia.
- Additional training/certificates as detailed above.
