The U.S. Mission in Islamabad, Pakistan is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions of Administrative Clerk (Residential Escort) in General Services Office (GSO).
Basic Function of the Position – This position serves as the Embassy’s primary field representative in a wide range of contacted and external relationships, projects, and functions. The position monitors the work of a wide range of activities, including, but not limited, to information technology projects, construction, renovation and repair, packing and shipping of United States Direct Hire (USDH) possessions, health unit operations, embassy social events, cultural activities, and representational functions, radio and telecom checks, and literally any activity that could or should have an Embassy employee presence and actively intervene when Mission expectations of quality, safety, health, or timeliness are not being met.
Qualification Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clerical, security receptionist, or customer service experience is required.
Education: Completion of secondary school certificate (10 years of Education) is required.
Job Knowledge: The incumbent should have a good knowledge of working in a team and being able to monitor personnel and supervise projects at the field level. The incumbent should have knowledge of clear, concise and written reporting of all contractual concerns or other management issues, security violations.
Language: Limited knowledge - Speaking/Reading/Writing in English and Good working knowledge - Speaking/Reading/Writing in Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.
Skills And Abilities: The incumbent is required to have the ability to interact with all Embassy departments including but not limited to Residential Security Unit, facilities, Post Occupational Safety and Health Office (POSHO), telephone unit, Health Unit, cafeteria provider. The incumbent is also required to have ability to deal/contact landlord and Embassy contractors in order to make sure that they are on time to complete the tasked work and reports back as needed to Management. Should have ability to learn and adapt to changing conditions and work requirements based on project needs, even within the same work day. The Incumbent should have the ability to maintain registers, logs, and accountability rosters. Should be vigilant and security conscious and demonstrate absolute integrity. Skills and abilities may be tested.
