Financial Compensation
We pay 70% of the Medicare rebate per 50-minute appointment, including 11.5% superannuation. If you are GST-registered, you can earn up to 77% of the Medicare rebate (base + GST).
Current Medicare-Based Rates:

• Mental Health Social Workers (MHSWs) & BAMH Occupational Therapists:
• Medicare rebate: $85.20
• Base rate (70%): $59.64 (inclusive of superannuation)
• With GST (77%): $65.60
• General Registered Psychologists:
• Medicare rebate: $96.65
• Base rate (70%): $67.66 (inclusive of superannuation)
• With GST (77%): $74.42
• Clinical Psychologists:
• Medicare rebate: $141.85
• Base rate (70%): $99.30 (inclusive of superannuation)
• With GST (77%): $109.22

Rates will increase from July 1, 2024, in line with Medicare rebate indexation.
Additional pay is provided for:

• Non-Medicare tasks, including letters and reports.
• NDIS and Work Cover clients, following the same percentage-based structure.
