About the Role

Due to the continued growth of our business, we are looking for qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our local team in Lytton, QLD. This role is an ongoing casual position, with a 38-40 hour work week and occasional overtime. It's perfect for someone who wants to be home every night and is very family-friendly.

Duties will include but not limited to

  • Flange Management.
  • Internal column & vessel mechanical execution including removal and installation of complex internal tray compositions.
  • Heat Exchanger maintenance services.
  • Hy-Torque and Tensioning.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID’s.
  • Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety including participating in safety documentation requirements.

Requirements & Experience Needed

  • 2+ years experience working on heavy industry, shutdowns and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends).
  • Oil & Gas industry experience is desirable.
  • Construction Induction (White Card) (essential).
  • Possess formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or an equivalent recognized Mechanical trade certificate.
  • Flange Management Training (advantageous).
  • Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years – essential.
  • Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable).
  • Current Drivers Licence (highly desirable).
  • High Risk Work Licence - LF/Dogman/Rigger (advantageous).
  • Full Australian work rights.
