Role Infromation Prep-6:
Our school will be entering our second year of embedding PLD into our school as part of our Synthetic Phonics Program. We are looking for a PLD mentor who has extensive knowledge of the program, across the three phases of Primary School.The PLD Mentor will be working with teachers to develop capability and ensure the program is managed with fidelity within the school.Your opportunity will include: - Support teachers with implementation of PLD across their class.- Model lessons for staff from P-6.- Observe staff lessons and provide feedback.- Support in data management and capturing of students using PLD's spreadsheet.- Support in placement of students across different groups.- Manage the Teacher Aide aligned with PLD in Year 1.- Liaise with the PLD team on a regular basis.- Induction of new staff in PLD.- Lead staff capability sessions including staff meetings and potential committees.- Be responsible for budgeting and resourcing of PLD cost centre.Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate. Line management will also fall under the brief of the Head of Department - Curriculum.
