This role is based in Danang / Hue
JOB PURPOSE:

The Scientific Liaison shall act as a scientific expert in the responded Therapeutic Area for improving healthcare through effective communication and education. The Scientific Liaison establishes long-term scientific relationships with key Health care providers/scientists/stakeholders and with related major medical associations, academic centers of excellence. These relationships will ensure that key HCPs, organizations and key stakeholders have access to relevant scientific information and that pertinent information is shared appropriately with the community. The Scientific Liaison facilitates TLs/key HCPs involvement in national and local educational forums including advisory boards, symposia and Continuing Medical Education (CMEs). The Scientific Liaison also provides medical support to activities of the local Customer engagement team and serves as an important partner to internal stakeholders within Bayer by communicating relevant information from TLs to key cross-functional partners

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic contribution

• Responsible for driving local medical strategy by translating the local medical plan into implementable TL engagement strategies with cross-functional teams and identify synergies with the interests of Bayer and the general medical community
• Provides medical scientific inputs, relevant information from TLs and field to the key cross-functions. Partners with Business Units to develop Integrated Brand Plans and executes to achieve business objectives

Managing external relationships

• Engage with local TLs/HCPs to gather insights on clinical practices, challenges, and needs to facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration.
• Responsible for fostering strong partnerships and play the role of ‘trusted advisor’ and ‘conductor’ to shape and synergize to reach win-win outcomes.
• Responsible and Accountable for generating TL insights on unmet medical needs, document and communicate them to cross-functional teams to inform tactics and strategy.
• Responsible for reporting external stakeholder engagement activities in Veeva Medical CRM.

Medical scientific/ educational programs

• Accountable for providing scientific contributions to the development and implementation of local medical educational materials and programs for HCPs that Bayer supports (e.g. Continuing Medical Education programs, Medical Scientific Events, Medical educational programs…).
• Responsible for providing scientific contribution and accountable for speakers preparation for all Bayer scientific events as aligned with the local cross-functional team.
• Provide lectures, presentions on medical information if allowed in educational events that Bayer initiates/supports.

Internal support

• Responsible and accountable for proactively ensuring that Bayer medical activities are in-line with relevant guidelines, regulations and legislations.
• Responsible for providing scientific contributions to development and implementation of local medical educational programs and gather competitive intelligence, build networks and build new material to engage TLs
• Provide medical expertise and support to the sales team in addressing medical inquiries from healthcare professionals alignment with MI handling procedures

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• • Has studied a scientific subject to a high standard, i.e. Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in medicine, natural sciences or pharmacology
  • Has worked in a medical /pharmaceutical field, dealing with drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical related activities.
  • Possess basic knowledge of TA Products
  • Preferable to have business acumen / knowledge, gained through academic study or work experience in a pharma or equivalent organization
  • Track record of successfully dealing with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop coherent strategy/ approach or to gain support on key issues
  • Successfully led workstreams / projects and organized scientific engagement platforms and events
  • Has experience learning and using digital technology on-the-fly to develop communications, brand / TA campaigns and/or conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights
