Responsibilities:

• Calibrate the scale daily using the standard weights
• Accurately record the gross weight, tare weight, and number of cones for each case on the appropriate lot ticket
• Make sure that all cases are properly labeled prior to strapping and sending to the warehouse
• Keep the track caught up
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor, Dyehouse Clerk and Winding Supervisor
• Keep all finished goods organized by lot in the finished goods staging area
• Turn in completed lot tickets to the Dyehouse Clerk
• Retrieve printed 4” x 6” cases labels from Dyehouse Clerk
• Accurately apply printed 4” x 6” cases labels
• Palletize and shrink wrap lots as specified on the lower left-hand corner of the lot ticket
• Safely operate the forklift
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor as necessary
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment (walk the warehouse finished goods and strapper areas daily to ensure that any loose straps, cardboard, and trash are picked up)
• Sweep the strapper and warehouse finished goods staging areas as necessary
• Must be able to handle 200-lb cases on the conveyor
• Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventories (usually performed on the Saturday closest to month or quarter-end), when scheduled

In addition to the above objectives, the Strapper Operator must have a positive attitude and pay great attention to detail. The Strapper Operator must be a TEAM PLAYER. Applicants must be able to read and write legibly.
