Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead and manage the culinary department specializing in Turkish and Thai cuisine. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong leadership, and exceptional culinary skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, maintain high standards of food preparation, and play a pivotal role in training and mentoring kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Culinary Leadership:
o Manage and oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and quality output.
o Lead the preparation and presentation of authentic Turkish and Thai dishes.
o Collaborate with the executive chef to design innovative menus and seasonal offerings.
2.Team Management:
o Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high performance and culinary standards.
o Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper coordination among team members.
o Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
3.Quality Control:
o Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
o Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards.
o Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and minimize waste.
4.Health and Safety Compliance:
o Ensure the kitchen adheres to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
o Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
5.Cost Management:
o Assist in budgeting, menu pricing, and cost control measures.
o Manage procurement of fresh ingredients, focusing on quality and cost efficiency.
6.Customer Experience:
o Collaborate with the front-of-house team to accommodate guest preferences and dietary requirements.
o Handle special requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
•Education: Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
•Experience:
o Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in professional kitchens, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
o Proven expertise in Turkish and Thai cuisine is mandatory.
•Skills:
o Strong culinary and plating skills with an eye for detail.
o Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
o Knowledge of kitchen equipment and modern cooking techniques.
•Languages:
Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Turkish or Thai is a plus.
