Strategy Associate Director

Essence Mediacom is an agency of Group M, the world’s largest media investment company and we are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Associate Director to join us.

Composed of 10,000 people across 120 offices globally Essence Mediacom combines Essence’s performance, data, analytics and creative technology DNA with Media Com’s scaled multichannel audience planning and strategic media expertise.
The agency includes an enviable global client roster, which includes adidas, Bayer, Dell, Google, Mars, NBCUniversal, Play Station, Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company and Uber, and will be responsible for more than $21bn in global media billings.
We are looking for a Associate Director to join the Essence Mediacom team at Group M.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to: Director

- Learn most advanced planning process and skill with full media at your deployment.
- Direct coaching from team’s most senior members.
- Good learning ground for understanding integrated media solution.
In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
- Get deep understanding of client business.
- Manage all day-to-day assignments in an effective way.
In six months:
- Independently complete 80%+ queries from client, including the most important annual presentations to clients.
- In a Forward-looking client management cycle, anticipate clients’ common queries and provide response or solution actively.
In 12 months:
- A strong knowledge of clients' marketing challenges and be able to provide media recommendations/solutions to address clients' business needs.
What your day job looks like at Group M:
- Manage key company / client projects
- Define objectives & framework for key company / client projects
- Team coordination and overall strategic thinking
- Facilitate communication with project / campaign stakeholders, ensure moving efficiently and delivered in a timely manner
- Lead strategic plan presentation
Minimum qualifications:
- Agency ( media / creative ) is must , min 5+ years experience
- Experienced in cross market client / account is plus
- Ability to articulate strategic missions to concrete project initiatives
- Strong appetite in creativity and innovation
- Strategic thinking mindset with strong ability to turn creative ideas into action
- Results oriented, with proactive approach to tasks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Team player with a strong spirit of collaboration
- Good verbal and written English (a must)
