THE POSITION: SQA Engineer
Seeking a results driven and energetic candidate for the position of Software Engineer (SQA) to join the team. The ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast paced environment, under pressure, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism is crucial to this role.


Reporting to the SQA Lead, this role will be responsible for the planned delivery of features / tasks on a weekly basis.


The ideal candidate is a team player and someone who is a hands-on engineer, enjoys working side by side with the other technology teams to solve tough & ambiguous problems, possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities, and are able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Partner with developers and UX/UI designers, spearheading SQA efforts and ensuring flawless releases within deadlines
• Analyze, design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans using tools like Test Rail, broadening test coverage and optimizing product quality
• Utilize your expertise in Python and frameworks like Pytest, Appium or Playwright to build up test automation scripts.
• Track and manage bug reports meticulously using Jira, ensuring timely resolution and continuous monitoring of progress

• Increase regression test efficiency by developing automated testing script

• Actively identify and implement enhancements to the development process across all phases of the life cycle
• Foster a culture of learning by actively sharing your expertise with your team

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or other related Degrees
• At least 2 years of experience in mobile, web, or RESTful API testing
• Basic understanding of at least one programming language like Javascript or Python.
• Familiar with database and SQL command
• Expertise in test automation frameworks like Pytest, Appium or Playwright is a plus
• Basic knowledge in setting up and maintaining CI systems is a plus
• Experience in management tool like Test Rail writing and maintaining test plan and test case
• Familiar with API documentation tools, such as Postman, Swagger
• Ability to assist developers in identifying out the root cause of a defect and measure its impact on each release
• Background in working in agile engineering processes and teams is a plus
