JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to implement and manage HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) programs for a global technology brand's Taiwan portfolio (offices, labs, factories)
* This is a 1-year renewable contract*About the Role:
This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the health and safety advisor for a US-headquartered Technology Giant's Taiwan portfolio across offices, laboratories, factories. Provide excellent services to operations for the client in designing HSE audit program and its associated protocols.
- Tracks, assesses and reports on emerging trends in the functional scope leading to continuous improvement.
- Act with a very high level of integrity and expectations to drive world-class performance.
- Supports the client to ensure that audit and assurance are compliant with HSE standards, regulations and guidelines
- Drives behavioral change to continuously improve sustainability performance through coordinated various performance improvement programs and initiatives. Facilitates the sharing of best practices and applies the client standardized processes to deliver consistent sustainability support globally.
- Maintains an external awareness and perspective and acts as a recognized expert, with consulting responsibility on functional area knowledge and trends.
- Engages external (e.g. customers, suppliers, relevant authorities and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to leverage the HSE culture.
- Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive sustainability performance
- Supports delivery of the annual HSE audit program and the implementation of sustainability objectives within area of responsibility in alignment with the client’s business strategy
- Contributes to and/or plans and executes projects within area of responsibility leading to performance improvement. Develops and reports on project objectives. Manages project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors
What You’ll Need:
-
Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' direct experience work in HSE within a global organization. - Experience working in technology/data center/construction and / or facility maintenance and management is preferred.
- Proven experience as a lead auditor for construction/operations field
- Expertise in related HSE scope and Regional regulatory framework.
- Excellent written and spoken English is a must.
- Good customer focused positive attitude works well with others and a team player.
