Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will support the financial year-end period within the global finance team. The main responsibilities will be focused on year-end accounting tasks and preparing for the year-end external audit and will work towards achieving the following. This will include :

Accounting and reconciliations

1. Accounts Receivable

• Manage the accounts receivable process including entering data into the ERP system, matching posted sales invoices with receipt of funds, aging analysis and assisting in updating relevant stakeholders
• Assisting in receipting membership dues
Manage and
• up with key staff members on unidentified income

2. Expense claims

• Review, follow-up, and post staff expense claims ensuring compliance with the internal travel policy and accuracy in accounting
• Follow-up with staff members on outstanding credit card expense claims
• Prepare and process staff payments within five working days after the month's end

3. Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Compile balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up on and pending entries

Year-end closing and consolidation

• Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation, analysis and process information
• Complete year-end balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned

The Successful Applicant
The Finance Officer we are looking for will come with the following background and experience :

• Recognized accounting qualification or degree in relevant discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant professional finance experience in an international environment
• Excellent command in computer skills
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and writing skills
• Excellent coaching and interpersonal proficiency with the ability to support staff at various levels to perform financial tasks
• Aptitude to work with minimal supervision within diverse multicultural teams
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable with various work tasks
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of French is an advantage
