Senior Process Automation Engineer

- Design and/or modify the ABB 800x A basic process control system (BPCS). Develop the functional requirement specification (FRS) for the system & create detailed design specifications (DDS).
- Develop control software, operator graphics and simulation software. Complete the factory acceptance tests (FAT) and commissioning activities. Provide training of operations and support commissioning and start-up of the manufacturing assets.
- Partner with other engineers and technicians to determine the process control requirements. Drive strategic solutions and improvements in partnership with stakeholders.
- Complete necessary Dow provided training and become a SME in at least one of our Alkoxylation SME Network teams.
- Engage with stakeholders and cross-discipline and cross-functional global project teams.
- Master’s degree in engineering or science.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience with at least 1 year of experience with the ABB 800x A control platform.
- Proficient in Spanish and English languages.
- Ability to work in an in-plant industrial environment, Advanced Process Automation, Control System Design, Project Management, Technical Training, Cross-functional Collaboration, Problem-Solving
- Experience with Dow’s MOD5 control platform and ability to read Dowtran code.
- Prior experience migrating a manufacturing control system.
- This job is located in Tarragona, Spain and does not offer relocation support.
