As a Product Development Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the timely, on budget and on quality deliverables for key activities within a large program or even full projects. You will have to support the technical development of a project, ensuring the design requirements are fulfilled, development process is followed, right materials are chosen, and that the technical risks are managed as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Delivering effective design management on individual projects.
  • Set priorities to the design team and track progress of development identifying any actioning any bottleneck. Lead the release of components ensuring MC design standards are followed.
  • Review of designs and assess feasibility, manufacturability implementation, identification of critical points and documenting possible solutions.
  • To collaborate cross-functionally to support the successful delivery of projects, across both internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers and customers).
  • Preparation of relevant documentation for designs releases translating it into a specification for manufacturing and/or inspection.
  • Selection of materials and technologies considering manufacturer and/or supplier availability.
  • Compilation and selection of technical regulations, standards, and norms.
  • Analysis and problem solving of quality issues in projects using an structured approach (8D)
  • To assist in the development of new processes and procedures across teams, and to be adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Research and information gathering, including articles and datasheets.
  • Visiting clients/suppliers when necessary.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience of working with Fusion 360, CATIA and Microsoft Project
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience planning development activities and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • To enjoy working in a hands-on with a proactive attitude.
  • Advanced in Excel.

Bonus Points for:

  • 1-2 years of working experience in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Composites.
  • Awareness of CATIA V5.
  • Kanban, Agile techniques.
