Westinghouse is looking for a civil engineer include for the Civil-Structural Department to perform the following activites:
- Site manager in charge of supervision of construction works related with radioactive waste management systems.
- Preparation of engineering documents (calculations, construction project plans, licensing documents, and procurement specifications).
- Development of health and safety plan/study for civil or system projects.
- Development/management of system/facility requirements, support of process optimization initiatives.
- Participation in preparation of proposals (technical descriptions, calculation of efforts, client requirement identification and management).
- Meetings with suppliers at pre-design, specification development and/or fabrication stages.
- Supervision of the assembly and testing of design modifications.
- Support to the Client’s site to resolve problems.
- Offers evaluation and follow up and approval of the supplier’s documentation.
- Participation in international teams.
Minimum Requirements
A successful candidate is required to possess:
- A civil-structural engineer with an associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Master's in occupational risk prevention.
- 5 years of experience supervising construction projects.
- Fluent in English/Spanish with proven reporting skills.
- MS Office products knowledge.
- Strong technical interest, predisposition for multi-tasking, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel (internationally).
- Driving License.
