Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support to Hiring Managers and the Representative Director, Korea, throughout the hiring process, including the creation of job descriptions and determining appropriate salary ranges.
• Ensure timely publication of job advertisements on our ATS and connect with relevant local platforms, review applications, and select candidates based on job requirements.
• Conduct professional interviews in English and Korean for diverse roles across Marketing, Editorial, and supporting departments.
• Work as part of the European HR team under the direct supervision of the line manager at HQ, actively proposing innovative strategies to attract candidates, including active sourcing techniques for specialized roles. Engage with the recruitment team led by HQ to align recruitment strategies, share best practices, and support international talent acquisition initiatives, while also collaborating with the APAC HR teams to contribute to regional objectives during recruitment team meetings and other coordinated efforts across regions.
• Partner with hiring managers across South Korea and APAC to ensure a seamless and engaging recruitment process that secures the right talent.
• Organize, coordinate, and represent MDPI at job fairs to attract top talent and enhance employer branding.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards, including those related to GDPR and data protection, in all recruitment-related processes and activities involving job platforms, the career page, and the ATS system.
• Contribute to recruitment-related projects and initiatives, supporting the continuous improvement of processes and tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Humanities, Law, or Management.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in recruiting, preferably in diverse roles and industries.
• Skills: Excellent interviewing and communication skills in both Korean and English.
• Strong sense of ownership, a proactive approach, and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to go the extra mile in networking and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of HR processes; experience in talent management is an advantage.
• Ability to act with confidentiality and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
• Proficiency in English and the local language (Korean).

Additional equirements

• Must be a Korean citizen and fluent in Korean (native level).
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Flexibility to execute ad-hoc HR tasks assigned by HR HQ and the Representative Director, MDPI Korea.
