Bid Writing Manager (Freelance)

We are seeking a seasoned Bid Writing Manager to join our team on a freelance basis. The
ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in crafting winning proposals, with
experience in the digital marketing sector being an added advantage (though not a strict
requirement).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bid Strategy Development:
○ Conduct in-depth analysis of RFPs/RFQs to identify key evaluation criteria.
○ Develop compelling bid strategies that align with our organisation's business
objectives.
○ Craft persuasive value propositions to differentiate our offerings from
competitors.
2. Bid Writing and Editing:
○ Produce high-quality, persuasive, and compliant bid documents.
○ Ensure all submissions strictly adhere to proposal guidelines and formatting
requirements.
○ Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks to guarantee clarity, consistency, and
accuracy.
Requirements:
● Proven experience in bid writing, particularly in delivering successful outcomes.
● Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
● Strong research skills to gather insights for crafting competitive bids.
● Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple submissions.
● Familiarity with tendering processes and platforms.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
● Self-motivation and strong organisational skills.
● Analytical mindset for identifying key RFP criteria.
Working Conditions:
● This is a remote freelance position based in South Africa.
● Work will be performed on a submission basis, with an expectation of completing 2-3
submissions per month.
● Access to our tendering platform will be provided to identify suitable opportunities.
