THIS IS A 3 MONTH PROBATIONARY CONTRACT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF GOING PERMANENT
Armour Elite Windows and Doors has a workshop / production foreman position available to join our shop and manufacturing team
If your strengths are administrative, hands on, able to work under pressure while keeping to deadlines and have a minimum of 5 years experience in the manufacturing and installation of South African aluminium systems, you will be a strong candidate
To be eligible, candidates must be / are able to
1. Demonstrate active knowledge in the trade and glass and aluminium industry in the context of South Africa.
2. Hands on with the manufacturing of window doors and shopfronts
3. Attentive to detail and problem solving
4. Able to read and follow architectural and engineering drawings
5. Sticking to details
6. Delivery products of high quality and on time
7. Have strong sense in terms of cost and time control
8. Able to manage staff and HR matters
9. Work overtime hours to get the job done
10. Make provide accurate and clear daily feedback / reports
11. Matric certificate and related qualification (beneficial)
The position requires the candidate to perform but not limited to the following task
1. Opening and closing shop
2. Detail with site reps on what the shop needs to be prepare and produce, understanding their time frame and allocating adequate resources to achieve goals and milestones
3. Programming production schedules, working under pressure and have the flexibility to prioritize.
4. Able to handle HR matters of the workshop, disciplinarily and in hiring
5. Able to manage multiple orders simultaneously while not neglecting on details
6. Leading the team in production and manufacturing
7. Checking and keeping records of dispatching and receiving of materials, finished products, tools, parts etc.
8. Coordinating with suppliers on materials, prices, delivery time and availability
9. Providing site with continuous and accurate feedback
10. Diligent in delivery smooth delivery of finished product from when the order is received until delivery to site.
11. Managing all activity in the workshop and within the company premises.
