About the Light SPAN Research Group
The collaborative project is led by Prof. Dr. Manuel Spitschan (TUMCREATE/TUM) and Asst. Prof. Raymond Najjar (NUS). The focus of the work performed as part of this position is a clinical trial investigating cutting-edge behavioural digital-health interventions to promote healthy light exposure in ageing.
At TUMCREATE, you will work in the Integrative Digital Health and Medicine Group. The Group is part of the Translational Sensory and Circadian Neuroscience Unit linking TUM, the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics and TUMCREATE.

Job Purpose/Objective of the Position:
As the Clinical Trial Coordinator in the Light SPAN Project, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and progress of a study that optimizes light exposure for senior citizens. Your responsibilities will include various aspects of the trial, such as participant recruitment, maintaining contact with participants, logistical planning, and handling participant remuneration. Your contributions will significantly impact the advancement of our research and help us achieve our project goals. You will be an integral part of a dynamic research team. This is a fixed term contract.


Job Responsibilities:

• Support and manage the execution of a clinical trial, ensuring adherence to protocols and timelines
• Carry out participant recruitment, including advertising, screening, and enrolment processes and front-line facing responsibilities
• Act as the primary point of contact for trial participants
• Assist with planning and logistics for trial visits, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for participants throughout the trial
• Handle participant remuneration processes and ensure accurate compensation
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary Light SPAN team

Job Requirements/Competencies:

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Administration, Health, Nursing or similar disciplines
• At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or coordinating capacity
• An outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and enjoy interacting with seniors
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
• Guidance, coaching and training opportunities will be provided
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
