1 ROLE DETAILS
•Position Title: National Pistol Coach •Reports to: High Performance Director •Direct Reports: Coaching-specific staff (TD, HPA, etc.) •Department: Sport Strategy & Performance •External Relationships: SOPC, Athletes, Coaches, Media and Sponsors
2 ROLE PURPOSE
The Pistol coach will be responsible primarily for coaching the senior national Pistol team. Working closely alongside the SSF’s other coaches, this role will contribute to the strategic objectives of the federation and the coach will work as part of an integrated and collaborative coaching team. In this role, the Pistol coach will also form part of the wider shooting community within Saudi – where she or he will contribute to knowledge development and best practice sharing across the organization, to support the ongoing evolution of coaching in Saudi, REPORTS TO: Saudi Shooting Federation Performance Director
3 RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coach the members of the national Pistol squad and prepare them to participate in various local and international competitions •Work closely with HPD, to formulate and lead the overall SOTC and Shooting Pistol program and daily training environments for athletes •Travel with the Pistol teams to international camps and competitions as required •In collaboration with the Director, Sport Strategy and Performance, SPA, of SOTC and the HPD of the Saudi Arabian Shooting Federation, lead and manage the strategic direction, development, preparation, culture, and performance of the Saudi Arabia Pistol Program aligned with its approved budgetary, administrative, and operational framework. •Develop strong relationships and implement clear and effective stakeholder communications with key strategic and funding partners to ensure we are maximising the resources available to Pistol Shooting •Prepare and continuously review the Pistol season program, to drive ‘World Best’ technical standards and performance direction •Lead a collaborative, high performance environment which elicits optimal input from coaches and staff to ensure sustainable success •Prepare technical reports about shooters’ progress (monthly and after each competition or camp) and send it to the federation and the SOTC as required. This process will involve individual goal setting for the shooters, in collaboration with the wider performance team •Select Pistol shooters to participate in international competitions, according to the SSF selection policy •Offer any relevant technical advice requested by the federation and the SOTC. •Evaluate the up-coming academy Pistol shooters on an on-going basis and determine which shooters will form the national squad annually. •Maintain long-term monitoring records of the shooters’ training and competition performances. •Any other duties that the federation and the SOTC might reasonably request
4 EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
•Minimum 3 years of experience of coaching elite level athletes at the highest level •Extensive performance knowledge and technical expertise in Pistol Shooting •Proven international success in performance management, team management, coaching •A background and recent experience of leading a high-performance sport team demonstrating highly developed leadership and management skills with a proven record of establishing a culture of collaboration, team working, innovation and support •Demonstrated experience of managing substantial high-performance budgets •Experience developing and setting a strategy and communicating a vision that engages and inspires people to envision future success and move towards higher levels of performance •Can build a high-performance culture that actively embraces wellbeing as a key plank of an environment for sustained high performance sport success

6 QUALIFICATIONS
