Role Overview
As CTO, you will be a key member of Platform E’s leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s technological vision. You will lead our engineering and development teams, based in Porto (Portugal), to build scalable, secure, and cutting-edge systems. This role requires both strategic oversight and active technical contributions, ensuring Platform E remains at the forefront of the industry.


Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a high-performance engineering and development team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Provide technical leadership across all stages of the product lifecycle, from conception to delivery and support.
• Developer Infrastructure: Design and implement next-generation infrastructure focused on developer experience, integration, scalability, and security.
• Technical Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute Platform E’s technology roadmap, aligning it with business objectives.
• System Development: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of functionality across the stack, contributing to both front-end and back-end development when needed.
• Code Quality & Mentorship: Write clean, maintainable code while mentoring the engineering team on best practices.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve development workflows and platform capabilities as the company scales.
• Security & Testing: Support rigorous testing and security evaluations to ensure robust and secure systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to the CEO and other stakeholders on project progress and technical performance.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to develop versatile software and seamless integrations.
• Independent Operation: Operate autonomously, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CTO, Technical Lead, or similar leadership role in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership in B2B Saa S applications.
• Expertise in designing and scaling complex systems and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Django, Python, Java Script, HTMX).
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and security protocols.
• Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with hands-on coding experience.
• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
