The Opportunity


Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Gender Equality and Inclusion Specialist to contribute to our groundbreaking A Gender-Responsive Systems Approach to Universal Health Care (GRASP-UHC) project. This five-year initiative aims to improve the health outcomes of vulnerable populations by strengthening the capacity of local government units to provide equitable healthcare access.


As a key member of our team, you will:

• 
  Lead GEI Assessment: Oversee the project's GEI assessment, including developing tools, training consultants, and ensuring data quality.
• Capacity Building: Train project staff and partners on applying GEI principles to health system strengthening and universal healthcare.
• Strategic Innovation: Develop and implement innovative strategies to promote gender equality and inclusion, empowering women, girls, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and Indigenous Peoples.
• Training and Mentoring: Conduct training of trainers and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to project staff.
• Partnership Building: Foster strong relationships with relevant organizations, government institutions, and civil society to advance GEI goals.
• Emergency Response: In exceptional circumstances, contribute to emergency response activities.

What We're Looking For


To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• 
  Education: Graduate degree in Social Sciences or a related field. Advanced degrees are an advantage.
• Experience: At least five years of experience in implementing GEI programs in development contexts.
• Training: Completion of training in advanced GEI, community development, M&E, rights-based programming, child protection, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health, and UHC.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of child rights and Philippine laws.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Attributes: Collaborative team player, effective communicator, and ability to work with diverse teams.
