Qualifications

• Previous experience as a customs compiler, customs broker assistant, or in a similar logistics role is highly preferred
• Previous work experience under an Australian client is required
• Strong knowledge of Australian customs regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in using Cargowise
• Degree in Customs, Business Administration or any relevant field

Relevant Duties

• Compile and prepare accurate customs declarations for import and export shipments.
• Verify shipping documents to ensure compliance with Australian customs requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to customs clearance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian customs regulations and tariff classifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the import and export of goods.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to clients.
• Maintain organised records of customs documentation and transactions.
