About the Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide accounting support across various programs, including Quick Books Online and Oracle Netsuite. The successful candidate will have significant experience in reconciliation, journal entries, accruals/prepaid expenses, expense classification, and monthly closes. This includes reviewing balance sheets, P&L, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, payroll, and sales tax administration. There may also be occasional administrative and back-office tasks.

About the Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide accounting support across various programs, including Quick Books Online and Oracle Netsuite. The successful candidate will have significant experience in reconciliation, journal entries, accruals/prepaid expenses, expense classification, and monthly closes. This includes reviewing balance sheets, P&L, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, payroll, and sales tax administration. There may also be occasional administrative and back-office tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide core accounting services such as maintaining client’s books and records, issuing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages, and internal management reports.
- Perform the monthly close process by reviewing balance sheets and P&L reconciliations, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, payroll, and sales tax administration. Own the monthly close deliverables (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, custom client reports) and the close calendar.
- Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable details and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations and prepaids; analyzing and reconciling retainage, accounts payable ledgers, and bank and credit card statements.
- Proactively review current procedures and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure timely monthly closes, accurate accounting entries, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in Employee Engagement activities that promote a positive atmosphere for the team.
- Communicate with management about potential improvements or efficiencies, either internally or at the client level.
- Adapt to varying shift schedules and be flexible with working hours. Rest days may be assigned outside weekends depending on business needs.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- CPA Board Passer preferred or must have completed a BS in Accountancy or related field.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Experience with Netsuite is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong grasp of basic accounting concepts.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
