Position Overview:
As a Sports Trading Card Expert, you'll dive headfirst into the thrilling world of sports trading cards, connecting with customers across the country who share your passion and helping them find the perfect additions to their collections. Your energy and expertise will be the driving force behind our exceptional customer service, making every visit an unforgettable experience for fellow sports card aficionados.
Responsibilities:
· Process incoming sports card collections to include sorting, pricing, and identifying sales channels.
· Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm and a shared love for sports collectibles.
· Guide customers through our extensive selection of baseball, football, and basketball trading cards and products, sharing your knowledge and excitement about each item.
· Keep our store looking sharp by organizing displays and maintaining a visually appealing environment that reflects the excitement of sports card collecting.
· Stay ahead of the game by staying informed about the latest releases, trends, and market values in the sports card industry.
· Share your insights and recommendations with customers, helping them discover hidden gems and must-have cards for their collections.
· Embrace the camaraderie of our team and contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike.
Requirements:
· A true passion for sports collectibles, with a deep knowledge of baseball, football, and basketball trading cards.
· Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
· Routinely carry, lift, push, pull, and manipulate up to 25lbs
· Occasionally carry, lift, push, pull, and manipulate up to 50lbs
· Stand for most/all of an 8-hour shift
· Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, grasp, stand, walk, lift, or carry in a variety of situations
· Ability to accurately handle cash
· Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
· Previous retail experience is a plus, but your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are even more important.
· Outstanding communication skills and a knack for connecting with people from all walks of life.
· Attention to detail and a knack for organization to keep our store looking its best.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, because sports card excitement (and retail sales) knows no bounds!
