Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. Your expertise in patient assessment, IV insertion, and discharge planning will be crucial in delivering effective treatment and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine immediate medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, responding promptly to changes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize care effectively.
• Assist in the management of medical-surgical cases as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in an Emergency Room or similar acute care setting preferred.
• Proficient in patient assessment techniques and familiar with ICD-10 coding.
• Experience with MDS documentation is a plus.
• Knowledge of discharge planning processes and toddler care is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate care to patients.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to nursing best practices.
