Square Pegs Learning Center & Behavior Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). In this role, you will work directly with children and adolescents with Autism, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life through effective behavior management strategies. Additionally, you will work closely with teachers in the classroom, helping to implement daily lessons and ensuring the success of students in both behavioral and academic settings.
Not yet RBT-certified? No problem! Certification must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment, and we’re here to support you in that process.
Duties

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA.
• Work collaboratively with teachers in the classroom to help implement daily lessons and activities.
• Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in developing care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during sessions.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working with children or adolescents, especially those with developmental disabilities or Autism, is preferred.
• Willingness to work closely with teachers to implement daily classroom lessons and activities.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and special education practices.
• Familiarity with medical documentation and care plans.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality.
• Previous experience in behavioral health settings is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with clients and staff.
