Position Summary: The primary duties of this position consist of managing communities with multiple home sites throughout all stages of the home building process. This includes cost and variance control, schedule awareness, and coordination of starts. The candidate must be project oriented, detail oriented, self-motivated, and sensitive to deadlines.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with various teams.
Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manages projects from planning through delivery.
• Works directly with onsite builders and trade partners
• Coordinates starts in designated communities
• Assist in change orders on individual jobs
• Review and issue purchase orders for work performed and materials ordered
• Assist in the flow and communication with our trades, office staff and field personnel
• Meet with trade partners to assist with capacity, upcoming starts or any conflict resolution
• Assist in recruiting trade partners and vendors
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in construction management or related field. (Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.)
• Typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Excel
• Minimum one year experience as Assistant Project Manager or similar role
• Minimum one year experience in residential construction
• KOVA Software experience preferred
• Effective use of Microsoft Office programs.
• Exhibits organized and structured approach to work.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to multitask.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
• Work primarily involves sitting / standing.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel to other divisional locations.
