Job Summary
Advanced Eye Care Panama City/Magruder Eye Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management, particularly within an ophthalmic setting. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, financial management knowledge, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance. The Practice Manager will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure the efficient delivery of patient care while maintaining high standards of service.
Duties

• Manage the overall operations of the practice, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Oversee office management functions, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure fiscal responsibility within the practice.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance patient care processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and information security.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Provide training and support for staff on office procedures and compliance requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement in service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in office management or medical office management; experience in an ophthalmology clinic is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
• Experience in budgeting, financial management, and fiscal oversight within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to interact with staff and patients alike.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
