Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, including low voltage systems and construction site operations. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading and a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to NEC standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites, including frame carpentry tasks as needed.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently while adhering to local building codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
• Provide maintenance person services as required for minor repairs or adjustments related to electrical installations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and related technologies.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards in the construction industry.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory depending on local regulations.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.18 - $24.40 per hour
Compensation Package:

• 1099 contract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
