Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation is the leading commercial golf & grounds equipment distributor in the Southeast. We are seeking a Field Service Technician in Panama City, FL or the surrounding area. This position performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, evaluations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial turf equipment, at customer locations. This includes gas diesel engines, hydraulic systems, drivelines, electrical systems, and cutting units. This position interfaces directly with the customer and contributes to customer satisfaction by fixing equipment right the first time and meeting repair promise dates.
Location: The ideal candidate should live in Panama City, FL or the surrounding area.
Experience: 2-4 years' mechanical experience in golf course, commercial turf, agricultural or heavy equipment preferred.
Schedule: Monday through Friday. No Weekends.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate plus commissions!!

Requirements: Ability to problem solve with a sense of urgency and communicate throughout the organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Proficient in use of tools, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. A valid driver’s license with clean MVR is required. Must own your own tools, possess excellent time management skills, and meet the physical requirements including but not limited to, standing for an entre shift, lifting up to 75lbs, bending, stooping and moving equipment. Some overnight travel required. Must have earned a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
