As a caretaker, you will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the pups at our facility during their boarding or daycare visits. We are currently looking to add enthusiastic and responsible team members to our pet care team; the position may include some of the following tasks:

• Monitoring dog group play in outside yards, in their rooms, and throughout our facility while promoting polite & balanced play.
• One-on-one activities with pets
• Providing both 1:1 & group enrichment to add both physical & mental stimulus to their day. Enrichment activities are essential for a dog’s overall well-being, providing mental stimulation, reducing stress, and promoting physical exercise.
• Giving food, water, and medications to dogs
• General cleaning for dogs including but not limited to sanitizing playrooms, boarding rooms, cleaning up after pets + more
• Interacting with clients at arrival and departure
• Monitoring and recording the health and behaviors of pets.
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Schedule:

• Flexible Schedule: Full-time or Part-time
• Weekends & Holidays are required due to the industry.

Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These essential functions include:

• Providing excellent pet care to all dogs
• Accompanying dogs as they move throughout the facility
• Communicating with peers via walkie-talkie/earpiece
• Must be highly reliable, on time, and flexible.
• Should be capable of physical work—motions such as bending, stooping, lifting, and spending long periods on your feet.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• A strong work ethic and the capability to respect and get along with co-workers

Experience:
Although we would like to hire applicants with some history in the pet care industry, it is not required. We are looking for individuals with some of the following skills and knowledge:

• Understanding of basic animal behavior
• Pleasant customer service skills
• Keen observational skills
• A desire to learn and improve
• A genuine care for the well-being of animals.
• Willingness to take continued education programs to stay on top of the always-changing pet industry standards.
