**Certified Medical Assistant**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service in a fast-paced medical environment. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff and ensuring efficient patient care.
**Duties:**
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist them in a courteous manner.
- Assist patients with mobility challenges as needed.
- Monitor provider schedules.
- Assist uninsured patients in obtaining health coverage and completing necessary forms.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and confidential work area.
- Other duties
· Check rooms/supplies
· Work-up patients
· Answer phone calls (THREE-RING POLICY)
· Create patient cases
· Respond to patient cases
· Facilitate medication refills
· Do modification/clarifications with pharmacies
· Know how to complete prior authorizations for biologic therapies and other medications
· Attend staff meetings as required and perform additional tasks as assigned.
· Order specialty pharmacy medications through patient specialty pharmacy
· Confirm delivery of all specialty pharmacy medications for provider
· Give injections (SC,IM)
· Prepare charts
· Prepare injections
· Keep inventory of supplies and provide supply list to office manager
**Qualifications:**
- Certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Proficiency in medical-surgical procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-intensity medical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of coding practices and electronic health records systems.
- Familiarity with PICU, emergency medicine, clinic operations, and patient care protocols.
- Strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
