What you will be doing.

• Consult and handle/support corporate legal processes in the North Europe region (contracts, corporate, compliance, transactions/M&A etc).
• Oversee drafting, evaluation, negotiations and execution of contracts ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and as required manage negotiations with third parties.
• Draft and review legal documents.
• Work alongside business units in providing legal advice and services to support the operations, commercial and business development.
• Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Claims handling.
• Other duties as assigned, including support of other regions in the ABL Group as required.
• Dedicated leadership and commitment to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment).

What we are looking for.

• Hold a degree in Norwegian Law or a related discipline from a recognised university. A combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum requirements.
• Possess knowledge of international law.
• Be an experienced lawyer with demonstrated expertise.
• Have experience in the Marine, Oil & Gas, Energy, and/or Renewables industries or related areas.
• Demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent communication skills in English (working language).
• Exhibit strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Show the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation, both independently and as part of a team.
• Be proactive, insightful, client-focused and resourceful.
