What you will be doing

  • Act as a business partner to the CEO and the local management team, assess organisational performance against both the budget and Ricoh Norway's long-term direction with the Ricoh Europe strategy. Drive profitability
  • Work closely with the Poland Business Services Centre (BSC) and the UK Shared Service Centre (SSC), and assist them with accounting and financial analysis to support the Op Co, Report and communicate month end results as required
  • Production of monthly management reporting for the Opco management team providing them with financial information and a detailed review of actual results, evaluating and identifying trends and performing a critical assessment of rolling forecast information
  • Prepare and interpret financial and management information for the different lines of business (LOB) within the Op Co. This will include variance analysis, customer and salesperson profitability, provision of commentary and liaison with the management team
  • Responsibility for the annual budgeting process as well' as the half year review
  • Liaise with Ricoh Europe on queries and provide financial support to the BSC, as necessary
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate 'internal controls and financial procedures in conjunction with the BSC and SSC
  • Work with Sales and Group Legal on local commercial contracts and ensure compliance with Group revenue recognition rules
  • Manage the placing of leasing business with Ricoh Capital and 3rd Party funders
  • Serve as a final point of escalation for accounts receivable /accounts payable issues
  • Accountable for compliance within Ricoh Norway including adherence to Group Policies (anti-competition, bribery, data protection and local culture
  • Responsible for. complying With JSOx requirements (in conjunction with the BSC)
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage the preparation and support of all internal and external audits in conjunction with the BSC
  • Serve as a key point of contact for all Insurance matters, including liaising with our Insurance Broker
  • Work with the BSC in Poland and SSC in the UK to ensure that the company meets its customer requirements and that local processes effectively interface with the SSC's. Manage SLA's with the SSC's and ensure issues are raised within the governance structure
  • Preparation of local Statutory Accounts (for Ricoh Norway and Ricoh Capital Norway) and all local statutory returns
  • Act as the IT liaison for Ricoh Norway
  • Provision of ad hoc reports, duties and projects
  • Other finance and accounting duties and responsibilities as assigned



Key Performance Measures

  • Assisting with the drive to deliver profitability
  • In conjunction with the Poland BSC accurate and timely reporting, forecasting, and communicating of the financials to the local management team and Ricoh Europe PLC on a monthly basis; maintain regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss forecast by division (vs. budget); cash flow forecasts
  • Complete analysis of financial results; develop recommendations (strategic and tactical) by line of business and for the whole company
  • Building a culture of financial and legal compliance
  • Strong and robust Business Partner for all financial and commercial matters
  • Smooth working with the Poland BSC and ongoing control of relationships and deliverables

You will ideally have

  • University degree or equivalent years’ work experience
  • Ideally Chartered Accountant status (but equivalent certification, part qualified or qualified by experience also acceptable)
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian
  • Business analysis, management accounting experience a plus
  • Strong commercial acumen is required
  • Ideally experience of working in a complex matrix and virtual team environment.

  • Ideally a broad knowledge and understanding of lease accounting, income recognition and JSOx requirements; IFRS knowledge
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent commercial skills, thorough understanding of the business and its market

  • Highly literate MS Office applications, in particular advanced Excel
  • Flexible attitude and a team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
