At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.
About the role
As the Wakefield Specialist Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the Practice Manager provide high quality services to the consultants. You will also:

• Build a team environment that fosters and develops effective working relationships and high performance.
• Assign, coordinate and check the services undertaken by the team.
• Ensure productivity is maintained and the quality of work meets approved standards.
• Ensure the workload is distributed evenly.
• Orientate and train all Wakefield Specialist Centre staff

This a 13 month fixed-term, 80 hours per fortnight position, to cover a staff member who is on parental leave. Located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.

You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:

• Able to prioritise workload and juggle competing demands
• Able to motivate the team and meet tight deadlines
• Quick learner with a robust understanding of confidentiality
• Strong communication skills
• Intermediate to Advance in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Have knowledge of Med Tech Evolution Patient Management system
