Grounds Maintenance Worker
Mō te tūnga | About the role:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive building maintenance services at our Gore facility, Resthaven. You will ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
A key responsibility will be monitoring and conducting checks in accordance with the Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance manual, handling both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks. Your efforts will directly contribute to the seamless operation and ongoing upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for all.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:
- providing building maintenance service for our properties in Gore
- keeping accurate records of work completed and adhering to all compliance requirements such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- monitoring the Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance manual checks including programmed and emergency maintenance
- ensuring all work is carried out within agreed timeline and budget.
- a full New Zealand drivers licence
- previous experience in a similar role
- understanding and commitment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace
- ability to prioritise and manage workload
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to build strong working relationships both internally with residents and staff and externally with suppliers and contractors
- trade qualification preferred but not essential.
