Project Manager- Office of the Chief Clinical Officer - Clinical Leadership

This role will be responsible for managing projects and workstreams which progress the priorities of the Chief Clinical Officer and the National Clinical Leadership Team. Projects will vary in size, duration, and subject matter.
This role will be expected to be hands-on in ensuring delivery momentum where required to ensure a successful outcome. This could include e.g. writing key documentation and communication, acting as project lead where appropriate, or other tasks that ensure progress that may be beyond the traditional scope of project management.
About you
We are seeking someone who is experienced in successfully managing diverse projects. Although this role requires a strong ability to deliver on assigned projects and workstreams, this experience could have been gained in other roles outside of traditional project management such as Advisory or Business Support. You will be skilled in keeping projects on track, ensuring timely delivery, and providing regular updates and reports to governance groups and senior leadership.
You will thrive in a flexible role, handling both formal and informal projects and pieces of work that require strong cross-functional collaboration across the organisation. You will be a strong communicator with excellent writing skills developed through writing for a range of audiences.
Your deep understanding of the health sector will be key in ensuring seamless connections and expert input across various initiatives.   • A tertiary qualification in a relevant area.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and be flexible in approach.
  • Previous experience of successful project management in a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to scope and establish work programmes working across other directorates and organisations.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Office of the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) supports the Chief Clinical Officer and National Clinical Leadership team. This role will report to the head of the office of the CCO.
