Job Description
Our store is seeking a professional and vigilant Loss Prevention (Security) Officer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff while preventing theft and minimising losses.
- Monitor store activities through CCTV and physical patrols to detect and deter potential security threats or suspicious behaviour
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and customer service issues
- Conduct investigations into suspected theft or fraud, gathering evidence and preparing detailed reports
- Collaborate with store management to implement and improve loss prevention strategies
- Assist in training staff on security procedures and loss prevention techniques
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant New Zealand security regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents and activities
- Liaise with local law enforcement when necessary
- Monday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Wednesday: 4:00pm - 9:30pm
- Thursday: 7:30am - 2:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications
He kōrero mōu ake - About you
Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.
Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
