Long Line and Potting Vessel - Home Port Nelson
We require several experienced fisheries deckhands to work on our longline and potting vessel.
We are seeking full-time crew for a 12-month period.
Trips are usually for 6 days.
Normal fisheries deckhand duties for a long-line and potting vessel. including the deployment and retrieval of the lines and pots , handling, storing, and unloading of the catch, and cleaning duties.
Undererstanding of sea bird mitigation devices and deployment required.
At least six months of experience as a fisheries deckhand is essential.
If you have NZ Deckhand Qualification - ADH-F Level 3 - Advanced Fisheries Deckhand experience that would be a definite advantage.

Assessment Process - All Positions
Part of our assessment process will involve limited police checks for all applicants.
There is also a pre-employment and ongoing drug testing program for all of these positions.
Applicants will need to agree with their previous employers being contacted in the vetting process.
Remuneration based on experience and qualifications. with a base rate of $29.15 per hour . We are happy to discuss "catch share" contract options.
