Job Description: Indian Chef

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Indian Chef to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking:

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries, tandoori dishes.
• Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards for all dishes.
• Assist in learning and experimenting with other cuisines to expand the menu.

2. Kitchen Operations:

• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Take responsibility for stock management, including inventory checks, arranging deliveries, and placing orders.
• Manage kitchen equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.

3. Teamwork:

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and assist in training team members when required.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities and take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs.

4. Work Ethic & Attitude:

• Display the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Be keen to learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

5. Additional Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of cleaning duties within the kitchen and communal areas.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries and maintain a well-stocked and organized pantry.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Indian Chef.
• Expertise in preparing tandoori dishes, curries, and Indo-Chinese cuisine.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
