The Role (Your Why)
The Events Manager role ensures the development of creative event strategies and campaigns that are aligned to broader organisational objectives such as sponsorship programs, conferences, exhibitions, business seminars, select internal staff celebrations and national road shows. This role offers independent and expert level support and delivery in line with the agreed strategy, obligations and certifications to maximise growth.
What You'll Do:
- Contributing to development and implementation of event strategies and campaigns that support Datacom growth aspirations and capitalises on our value proposition.
- Managing the organisations complete annual event schedule, individual event logistics and conducting post-event analysis in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the events/campaigns.
- Ensuring value and business outcomes are evaluated and articulated appropriately.
- Developing, evaluating, and implementing strategies to increase ROI from event initiatives.
- Working with cross-functional teams to align event strategy with business objectives.
- Further refine and implement a continuous improvement program based on the business analysis/process re-engineering principles and support the effective progression of strategic ideas and initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Providing a detailed brief to the attending team to ensure the efficient operation and brand alignment.
- A can-do attitude with a strong desire to take a hands on approach to supporting the coordination and creation of events.
- Proven ability to work under pressure with non-negotiable timelines.
- Experience interpreting briefs, delivering appropriate events that meet expectations within budget, brand and time constraints.
- Strong business acumen.
- Team player who can work alongside and cross-functional teams and various geographies.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
