Dairy Herd Manager

We are looking for a capable, enthusiastic, punctual employee for our 250ha, 700 cow dairy fam just out of Winton. We need someone with at least two years New Zealand dairy farming experience. It is a full time position working a minimum 30 hours per week and a maximum of 60 hours per week at the median wage ($29.66/hour). There is no accomodation provided with this position.Duties include but are not limited to:

Millking cows
Using machinery
Animal husbandry
Cleaning plant and machinery
Temporary fencing and shifting stock
Weed control
Observe stock for any health problems
Follow direction well and report back to manager
Manage self in order to be on time ready to work

Job Prerequisites

At least 2 years of relevant experience on a NZ commercial farm.
Have and understanding of animal diseases and illnesses
Work well in a team environment
Confident using machinery
Open full time work permit in New Zealand

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.66 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
Schedule:

Rotating roster

Supplementary Pay:

Overtime pay
