Client Accounting and Tax Administrator

Description

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Client Accounting & Taxation team and wider business to help manage the day to day requirements for the team and our clients.
This role will provide you an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the team’s activities and to identify and implement improvements. The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running, have the ability to work well within a team and will understand the importance of delivering good service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with accounting staff on day to day tax compliance requirements for our clients, including:
  • Liaising with branch staff & IRD involving administration matters
  • Maintaining our tax management and workflow systems
  • Providing administration support and assistance to the Client Accountants within the team as required
  • Key point of contact within and outside of Accounting and Tax Team
  • Invoicing clients and producing month end reports
  • Arranging taxation payments and receipting of refunds as required
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as required
  • Maintaining client details in our CRM
  • Facilitating team meetings

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • A positive, self-starter who is capable of working independently
  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience working with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems is advantageous
  • Proven written and verbal skills along with an ability to work within and across teams
  • A strong sense of client focus and an attention to detail
  • Exposure to accounting software packages such as Xero is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work
