Event Marketing & Communications Coordinator

EAGE’s main activities consist of organizing conferences, workshops, exhibitions and courses worldwide. We also publish books and journals like the monthly magazine First Break for our members. EAGE’s main goal is to share knowledge, promote innovation and technical progress, and to foster communication, fellowship and cooperation between those working in, studying or otherwise being interested in these fields. We have over 90 employees worldwide, with offices in The Netherlands (headquarters in Bunnik), Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Bogota.
Your Role
In this Event Marketing & Communications role, you'll oversee projects from start to finish, collaborating with project managers on promotional campaigns, newsletters, event branding, and more. You'll work with internal teams and external suppliers to execute the marcom strategy for various team projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Write engaging content based on event themes and technical topics.
- Develop and implement marcom strategies for events and projects.
- Create and deliver event experience based content, including video interviews.
- Support project teams and departments with marcom activities.
- Execute performance-driven digital marketing campaigns using professional social media and ad platforms.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Specialist to analyse performance and identify opportunities.
- Manage relations with press and stakeholder marcom specialists.
- Maintain and update project-related web pages.
- Coordinate with suppliers for marketing materials and branded items.
- Work on design and branding projects with internal teams, including briefings, planning and logistics.
- Oversee event-related publications and contribute to event (onsite) organisation.
- Bachelor’s or HBO degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Digital Media, or any other relevant education or experience.
- Native or near-native English proficiency with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to create engaging content from complex technical information.
- Strong organisational, planning, and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, communication through social media platforms, and digital ad campaigns.
- Knowledge of print production coordination.
- Familiarity with multi-scale (scientific) events or energy-related communications.
- Basic understanding of design principles and Adobe products (a plus).
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Linked In Ads (a plus).
