Customer Dedicated Executive Chef

We are currently looking for a Customer Dedicated Executive Chef to join our culinary team. Reporting to the Executive Chef Operations & the Europe Dedicated Executive Chef, the Dedicated Executive Chef will be responsible for the oversight and culinary delivery for all customer flights. To this end, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation, production, training, delivery and execution of culinary initiatives, including process standardization, compliance and product quality and consistency. The incumbent will also be expected to demonstrate a strong aptitude for effective planning, direction, control, and resource management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver customer expectations, business objectives, and targets to optimize company resources and leads the execution of defined culinary operational objectives and standards.
Serves as a leader in developing strategic production plans for effective and efficient product & quality delivery to support customer satisfaction.
Work within company and client demands and timelines.
Collaborate closely with menu development teams and account managers to meet customer expectations, maximize revenues, and identify new business opportunities.
Actively engage with the customer, understand their needs, and establish and meet internal customer requirements.
Analyze performance information, identify issues, propose solutions, and report on progress.
Implement innovations and support continuous improvement within the department and across the business.
Conduct internal quality assurance checks as required and make immediate corrective adjustments. Audits and quality assurance checks will be completed on customer and Gate Group systems and templates.
Lead in menu cycle changes/start-ups.
Attend all meetings related to customer issues/complaints and menu development.
Participate in and support menu presentations, tenders, and workshops as required.
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing Gategroup standards and procedures.
Ensures adherence to HACCP and regional safety regulations in compliance with Gategroup policies and procedures.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a seasoned professional with 7–10 years of experience as a Chef or Executive Chef, complemented by 2–5 years in menu design and planning. Expertise in in-flight catering or high-volume food service environments is highly desirable. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale food manufacturing departments and leading teams within the food industry. A qualified Chef with global food experience, particularly in in-flight catering, is preferred. Strong financial acumen and a proven track record in managing budgets, performance targets, and achieving results are essential for success in this role.
Furthermore, the role requires a strong understanding of large-scale production and assembly, alongside expertise in Lean Management. Candidates should possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English. A customer-focused mindset, innovative thinking, and a proactive approach are essential. Experience in managing through KPIs, financial budgeting, and delivering presentations is crucial, as well as intermediate IT skills. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with a proven track record in team leadership and operational excellence.
