Container Logistics Planner

What You Will Do
As Container Logistics Planner you will be responsible for overseeing the entire container logistics process in all its facets. Your main tasks will include:
- Planning the loading and unloading of containers on ships throughout their voyage, ensuring compliance with ship stability and applicable safety requirements (e.g., IMDG). This also involves coordinating container loading and unloading plans between ship and shore.
- Managing the flow of empty containers.
- Ensuring all relevant software systems are consistently up to date.
- Guaranteeing an efficient and reliable process while seeking improvements to maximize voyage results.
- Assisting the Global Container Supervisor with management information and projects.
- A bachelor’s degree (HBO), preferably in Logistics or Maritime Studies.
- Work experience in the maritime industry, in similar role and/or seafaring experience (deck).
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong computer skills (software, Excel, Outlook).
- Analytical mindset with strong organizational skills and commercial insight.
- Strong social and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and/or influence others.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to handle stress and set priorities.
- Ownership mentality (recognizing and taking responsibility).
- Hands-on approach with a drive for root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
- Living in the vicinity of Breda and in possession of an EU passport or Dutch working permit.
